The department of Hindi was established in the year 2009 for offering Hindi as a Major Indian Language as per the requirement of the UG course of University of Calcutta. The college started offering B.A (Hons.) in Hindi from the session 2015-16 considering the surrounding Hindi-speaking belt.
The department is enriched with young, dynamic teachers on one hand and experienced superannuated academicians on the other.
